Testimonies

Since 2008, I am in charge of planning, coordinating and monitoring Meter Reading System for PALYJA standard customer. My work involves the monitoring of all meter reading process based on schedule, control of quality of reading data, a follow-up of customers’ complaints related to meter reading and finally to improve quality of work.

After graduating from Trisakti University with the Environmental Engineering Department I continued my studies in the Institute of Technology in Bandung with the same major in order to get a Master Degree.

I have worked in PALYJA since 2001 where I had a good evolution, starting as a technical assistant, becoming project engineer in 2002 and customer study superintendent in 2005.
These positions require different skills like leadership, analytical thinking, customer focus, ability to solve problem and take decisions.

I owe this quick evolution to the intensive training offered by PALYJA throughout the years (water meter training, project management, health & safety management, customer care and billing or operation management). PALYJA ensures to give enough flexibility to its employees for them to improve their career.

The working environment in PALYJA is very friendly and we feel high respect between each other while solving problems hand to hand. The most important aspect for me is that PALYJA always focuses on customer satisfaction and show appreciation to the employees.

Irma Gusyani Taib

After 7 years at PAM Jaya as a Production and Distribution Supervisor, I joined PALYJA in 1998 where I was in charge of handling complaints, operation of distribution network and booster pump in UPP area. Since 2008 I am managing the distribution network, after 3 years as Technical Planning and Study Manager, where I take in charge the distribution network operations. I ensure that the water allocated to the demand area is received with good quantity, quality and continuity.

This job requires many skills like Hydraulic and Network Modeling, Water Supply System, Technical Analysis, Managerial and Leadership, Communication or Problem Solving and Decision.
As for the day-to-day work, I spend half of my working time having technical discussions with my colleagues to solve all the problems as soon as possible as our goal is to improve our level of services to the customers in term of water supply and make them satisfied with our services. I also, from time to time, go to the field to give support to my team and make sure the quality of work meets the requirement including Health and Safety.

I have been given many opportunities by PALYJA to improve my knowledge and experience to support my career. I went to many counties to exchange experiences with other Business Unit in Suez Group. For Managerial skill, I participated in Management Development Program and Fast Track Program which organized by Prasetya Mulya Business School, Jakarta.
As Seconded employee, I learn a lot from PALYJA Management especially for the good management system and the involvement of all levels for any inputs and ideas in order to reach the company target. Since I joined PALYJA, I had to change my vision to adapt with PALYJA’s working environment, it was so easy in the beginning to do it but by having supports from my superiors I feel comfortable with this conducive situation in PALYJA. My involvement in PALYJA 3rd Master Plan, working together with international consultant was one of my interesting tasks.
